If you need an immigration lawyer in Houston or a surrounding area, turn to Attorney Mina Amiry for help. With years of legal experience as a licensed attorney in the state of Texas, Ms. Amiry is committed to helping you navigate the often complicated and confusing immigration process in the United States.
Whether you need assistance with a green card or student visa, citizenship, or even asylum, she will provide you with the compassionate, one-on-one attention you need. The daughter of Taiwanese and Iranian immigrants herself, Ms. Amiry has a personal investment in helping others through the immigration system.
In law school, she was on the Dean’s Honor List and received the Dean’s Scholar Award. She was also a member of Phi Delta Phi Honor Society and spent her time volunteering with Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston in Houston—something she has continued even as an attorney. As a volunteer, she assists immigrants seeking citizenship through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
Prior to opening her private practice, Ms. Amiry served as a law clerk at the Harris County Attorney’s Office assisting with cases related to real estate and public law. She then continued her legal career at a number of local law firms, handling everything from researching pre-trial discovery law to drafting judicial opinions and pleadings to overseeing more than fifty client files at once.
In addition to her focus on immigration law, Ms. Amiry is a certified mediator in the state of Texas. She also achieved Withholding of Removal for a client while enrolled in the Immigration Clinic at South Texas College of Law and strives to help all of her clients achieve favorable outcomes.
